Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- ¼ tsp lemon peel
- 1 cup sour cream at room temperature
- Dash of salt
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 2 Tbsp flour
- ¼ tsp vanilla
- 2 ¼ cup apples, cut and peeled (3-4)
Crumb topping:
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- ¾ tsp cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Beat eggs in large bowl. Blend in sour cream, sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt. Fold in apples and lemon peel. Pour into crust.
- Bake 10 minutes and then reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake 30 minutes, or until crust is golden. Sprinkle crumb topping over pie and bake 15 more minutes.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Crumb topping:
- Cut butter into sugar, flour and cinnamon.
