Homemade Fudge Brownies


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes
Yield: 1 sheet pan

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup Hershey cocoa
Directions:
  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour and cocoa. Mix well.
  2. Spread onto a greased jelly roll pan.
  3. Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes. Let cool to room temperature. Frost brownies when cool.
  4. Serve at room temperature.

Peppermint Buttercream Frosting

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 10 minutes
Yield: 2 ½ cups

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 ¼ tsp peppermint extract
  • Red food coloring
Directions:
  1. Add powdered sugar, softened sticks of butter, and milk to mixing bowl.
  2. Beat on low until powdered sugar is incorporated. Then move mixer up to medium-high speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When completely mixed the frosting may appear dry.
  3. Add more milk, a little bit at a time until frosting is the proper consistency. Add peppermint extract. Stir to incorporate.
  4. Enjoy!
