Ingredients:
- 1 lb. butter
- 8 eggs
- 4 cups sugar
- 4 cups flour
- 2/3 cup Hershey cocoa
- Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour and cocoa. Mix well.
- Spread onto a greased jelly roll pan.
- Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes. Let cool to room temperature. Frost brownies when cool.
- Serve at room temperature.
Peppermint Buttercream Frosting
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 10 minutes
Yield: 2 ½ cups
Ingredients:
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 ¼ tsp peppermint extract
- Red food coloring
- Add powdered sugar, softened sticks of butter, and milk to mixing bowl.
- Beat on low until powdered sugar is incorporated. Then move mixer up to medium-high speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When completely mixed the frosting may appear dry.
- Add more milk, a little bit at a time until frosting is the proper consistency. Add peppermint extract. Stir to incorporate.
