Pizza


Preparation time: 30 minutes
Total time: 2 hours
Yield: 2 sheet tray pizzas

Ingredients:
For the Crust:

  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 ¼ cup warm water
  • ¾ cup olive oil

Toppings:

  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

Optional toppings: 

  • mushrooms
  • peppers
  • sausage
  • pepperoni
  • herbs
  • tomato, etc.

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle yeast over warm water, add pinch of sugar. Stir together. Add oil. Mix in flour and knead together until dough is mixed.
  2. Put dough in bowl and cover with towel. Let rise until doubles in bulk, about 1 hour. Roll out on pizza pan.
  3. Top each crust with pizza sauce, thinly, and add mozzarella cheese. Add desired toppings. Sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
