Tortillas


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
Yield: 15 tortillas

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup Crisco
  • 2 cup buttermilk
Directions:

  1. Combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut in Crisco into dry ingredients then add buttermilk until good consistency. 
  2. Flour a working surface and roll dough out into round tortillas. Fry each tortilla individually until bubbling and golden brown on each side.
  3. Place in a Ziploc bag with a cloth towel to keep them warm until serving.
