Homemade Fudge


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes
Yield: 40 squares

Ingredient:

  • 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 7 oz. jar of marshmallow cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1-12 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups of walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the chocolate chips and marshmallow cream.
  2. Heat a heavy sauce pan over medium heat. Combine butter, evaporated milk, and sugar. Bring to a boil. Boil for 6 minutes, stirring constantly. 
  3. Take off the heat. Pour sugar mixture over chocolate and marshmallow mixture. Stir until well incorporated. Stir in nuts if desired. 
  4. Line a 7x11 pan with tin foil. Pour fudge into the lined pan and let cool to room temperature. Store in the fridge.
