Creamed Corn

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 8 oz. whipping cream
  • White or cayenne pepper
  • 8 oz. homogenized milk
  • 2 pkgs. (20 oz.) frozen corn

Directions:

  1. Melt butter, add flour and cook them together for about a minute or two.
  2. Add whipping cream, milk, salt, sugar, and pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add enough corn to make it the consistency you want it (not too much corn, but enough that it isn’t soupy) and heat through. 
  4. Very popular at Thanksgiving!
