Pecan Pie

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Bake time: 60-70 minutes
Chill: Overnight
Total time: 1 hour 30 minutes + overnight
Yield: 1 pie

Ingredients:

  • 9 inch unbaked pie crust
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 ½ cups pecan halves

Directions:

  1. Melt and allow to cool unsalted butter
  2. Whisk together light corn syrup; light brown sugar, salt, vanilla extract.  Add melted, cooled butter, and slightly beaten eggs.  Add pecan halves. 
  3. Pour into pie crust.  Cover the edges of pie crust with loosely tented aluminum foil.  Place pie on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes. 
  4. Allow to cool completely and then chill before serving.
